FAQ

Frequently Asked Question

Q.  How long have you been pressure washing?

A.  We have been pressure washing for nearly 10 years.  We have experience in cleaning many different types of structures and surfaces.  We are also licensed and insured.

Q.  Why should I hire a professional to pressure wash my house?

A.  A professional will take away the guess work associated with choosing which type of tip to use and which cleaner to buy and how much pressure to use.  Professional pressure washers have experience in knowing which cleaners are effective to use on varying kinds of surfaces and how much pressure to use on these surfaces.

Q.  Do you use the same kind of cleaners/chemicals that I can buy at the Big Box/Chain Stores?

A.  NO.  We only use high quality soaps/chemicals that are designed for professional use, provided by specialty chemical companies.

Q.  Do you use bleach when washing a house?

A.  Yes, we do add bleach to our house washing mixture.  Bleach is a safe and effective way to kill and remove algae, mold, and other bacteria.  It also works great on everyday dirt and grime and keeps them from growing back for a much longer period of time compared to using only water and pressure.

Q.  Do you use hot water?

A.  Yes, we do use hot water.  Hot water is very effective in removing dirt, grease, and grime.  Just think how hard it would be to wash dishes with cold water!  It takes more pressure and stronger soap mixes to clean a house with cold water, neither of which is best for your home.

Q.  Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

A.  We charge by the job, and it is normally based on the square footage of the project.  We take our time and are very detailed oriented in our cleaning process.

Q.  How often should I pressure wash my house?

A.  Typically you should have a professional wash your house at least every 2 years.  This will keep it looking good and also free from dirt, mold, and bacteria that can damage your home if left untreated. However, some houses may require cleaning every year depending on how many trees are near the property.  Houses with lots of shade and not as much sun exposure will tend to have more moisture and dampness which leads to mold, algae, and bacteria growing back at a much quicker rate.

Q.  Do you need to use a lot of water pressure when washing a house?

A.  No.  Too much pressure may damage a surface.  Different surfaces will vary on how much pressure is needed to properly clean them.  A professional pressure washer will have the ability to adjust the water pressure for the particular surface they are cleaning.

Q.  Are your chemicals harmful to my plants or shrubs?

A.  No.  We pre-wet any and all plants, shrubs, and flowers before spraying any soap in the area.  This will protect them from any overspray that might happen to get on them.  Also, with the dilution ratio of our soap mixtures, our cleaning products are safe around plants.

Q.  Do I pay before or after the job is finished?

A.  We do not accept payment until the job is completed and the homeowner/client is satisfied with the results.
